Employment and Licensing Procedures

To be employed by SafeCity Security Services applications must be able to meet the high criteria set by the Company and the Private Agents Act.

Our company’s standards are based on 20 years of industry experience. 
An applicant is assessed upon their aptitude, enthusiasm, attitude, communication skills, presentation, physical fitness, community & personal interests. 
Senior management conducts all final employment interviews.

The applicant’s background is thoroughly checked and their references verified not only by the company, but the Police also research the above, as part of the licensing process of the Private Agents Act. 
When an applicant is approved for employment, they will be licensed as a Security Officer under the Private Agents Act. 
The employee must then attend our training course and pass a formal exam. 
The Company must be satisfied that the applicants are able to clearly communicate their objectives with clients, the general public and perform their duties in a professional manner before being assigned to fieldwork.

Company policies and objectives
Standing Orders - Communications
Public Relations
Static Security and Patrol Duties
Theft/Burglary/Trespass/Assault
Arrest/Evidence/Crime scenes
Emergency procedures - Fire, Bomb, Civil Unrest\Disruption
Fire Safety Training
Firearms Act
Firearms Safety and range practice
Occupational Health & Safety
First Aid trained officers are available as required.   St. Johns Ambulance Service or Red Cross provides training.

Because of the higher level of training that our Security Officers undergo, their conversant and lateral thinking capabilities are much higher that the average security personnel. 
Clients that have a high public profile find this aspect particularly attractive.  

At the completion of the course, all personnel are issued with complete reference manual and copies of notes. 
It is a company policy that each year all personnel undertake refresher courses in all the above subjects.

All our personnel are paid according to the Federal Security Employees Award.
